Berolan Dry Mortar Additives is a family owned production company specialized on dry mortar additives, especially air entraining agents. Berolan products act to introduce air voids, e.g. in plaster or mortar, and thus contribute significantly to smooth working and the reduction of cracking.

Berolan promotes the wettability of the dry building material mixture with water and supplements the dispersing effect of cellulose. Additionally, the air-entraining increases the yield of the mortar and reduces the risk of shrinkage cracking. It is a characteristic of Berolan to form very small and stable air voids, particularly in gypsum-based plastering mortars. An additional effect is a recognizable improvement of the open time.
